Pomble Terms
Effective 18 August 2026 · Family-testing version
Pomble is a calm family games library. A grown-up creates the household and may invite other trusted grown-ups, each with their own login; children use profiles and never receive account credentials.
1. Who may create an account
You must be 18 or over to create or accept an invitation to a grown-up account. The household owner is responsible for inviting only adults authorised to access the family profiles. Each grown-up is responsible for keeping their own chosen sign-in method secure.
2. Family profiles and grown-up access
A household may contain adult and child profiles and may be linked to several grown-up accounts. Invited grown-ups can see and change shared profile names and settings. Use first names or familiar display names rather than unnecessary identifying information. Do not create a profile or invite a grown-up unless you have authority to do so. The household owner may remove an invited grown-up’s online access.
3. Using Pomble
Use Pomble lawfully and for personal or agreed educational use. Do not attempt to interfere with the service, access another household, probe security controls, automate account creation or copy and republish Pomble’s games and artwork.
4. Account security
You may sign in with Google, Apple or with a confirmed email address and Pomble password. Google and Apple never share their passwords with Pomble. Where a Pomble password is used, Pomble stores only a salted verifier, never the readable password. During family testing, email sign-up also has a clearly labelled on-screen confirmation fallback that does not prove control of the address. The grown-ups’ room may use a separate four-digit device PIN. Tell us promptly if you believe the account has been used without permission.
5. Family testing and availability
Pomble is still in family testing. Features may change, and occasional interruptions are possible. We will take reasonable care of the service and account data, but you should not treat Pomble as the only copy of important children’s artwork or records.
6. Subscription
Payments are not currently switched on. Before any paid subscription begins, the price, trial, renewal and cancellation terms will be shown clearly to the grown-up and these Terms will be updated. Nothing in the child’s space will ask a child to buy or renew anything.
7. Closing an account
You may ask for the account and its server-held household profiles to be deleted by emailing francesca@thebaileywheelers.co.uk from the account email. Device-local play history and artwork must be erased on that device.
8. Privacy
The Privacy Notice explains what is stored online, what remains on each device, why it is used and how to ask for access or deletion. It forms part of these Terms.
9. Changes
If a material change affects existing accounts, Pomble will explain it to the grown-up in plain language. Continued use after the stated effective date means the updated Terms apply.
10. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to francesca@thebaileywheelers.co.uk.
